SwayMaps

Help

Write to support@swaybeta.ai with any question or problem, and a person will answer. If something went wrong with a map, you can also send the team a report from the map itself: open the Feedback menu and choose Tell the SwayMaps team.

Common questions

My assistant does not use SwayMaps

Mention SwayMaps in your request, for example "Use SwayMaps to map the argument in this passage". In Claude, also check that SwayMaps is switched on for the chat: press + below the message box and look under Connectors.

Claude asks permission every time

Choose Always allow when Claude asks, or open Customize, then Connectors, then SwayMaps, and choose Always allow for both groups of tools.

How do I give my assistant my changes?

Make your changes in the map, or select a box and press C to comment on it. Then press Send feedback in the map. When the map is open inside the chat, that tells your assistant; in Claude, press Enter to send the message it puts in the box. When the map is in a tab of its own, go back to the chat and say that you have looked. Your assistant reads what you changed and said, and answers.

The map does not appear in the chat

Ask your assistant to show it ("Show me the map"), or open the link it gives you. Some assistants, and some older versions of their apps, cannot show it in the chat; the link always works.

Where are my maps?

Your maps lists the maps made in this browser. Maps made after connecting from another browser or device are listed there instead, and each map's link opens it from anywhere.

Who can see my map?

Anyone you give its link to can open and edit it. See Privacy for what SwayMaps keeps.

How do I keep a copy?

In the map, choose File, then Download a copy. The file opens in Because and MindMup.

How do I disconnect SwayMaps or delete my maps?

To disconnect, remove SwayMaps from your assistant's connector or plugin settings. To delete maps, use Your maps, which can also delete your whole account.
